    Shred Nutrition Program

    Meeting with a nutritionist can be overwhelming, at Good Life Fitness we try to make this process as simple of a process as possible.
    Skin fold testing, also known as caliper testing is a commonly used method to determine a clients body fat percentage.

    1. Consult

    Sometimes walking through the doors is the hardest part of starting any nutrition program - Sitting down with one of our nutritionists is an easy and comfortable experience.

    Our initial consult starts with a basic questionnaire with the nutritionist on your health history, successes with diets in the past, and your current relationship with food.

    Our goal isn't to completely flip your diet on it's head but to transition it into a more healthy lifestyle by making small changes and positive choices in your foods.

    1. chest
    2. triceps
    3. subscapular
    4. axilla
    5. suprailiac
    6. abdomen
    7. thigh

    2. Body fat testing

    ​​The body fat test has a 3-5% accuracy range with human error being the main differences between testers.  When you get set up with your nutritionist they will be explaining where they will be pinching as you go through the process.  

    After the pinching we do a circumference measurement on a dominate arm flexed bicep, a relaxed chest position, the belly button, hips with your feet together and finally the middle position of your dominate leg.
    The body fat testing is performed in a private room at both locations by our trained staff.

    3. Meal plan based on your results

    ​​After we've compiled your data together it's time to create a meal plan based around your caloric intake and your basal metabolic rate that we find from your results in both the body fat testing and your age/height and muscle mass. 

    The work begins here with macro nutrients and dialing in on what works best for you and taking out what doesn't work at all.

    In general this is the most flexible area of the program that you can work with the nutritionist on finding recipes and ideas that work for your lifestyle
    The meal plan can always differ from person to person, especially when based on work schedule, family meal times, and diet restrictions are some of the most common areas we work around
